With a Master’s degree in Social Work from Michigan State University and a specialization in Clinical Social Work with Families, my work began with a strong foundation in understanding family systems and the individual factors that shape them.

During and after graduate studies at Michigan State, five years of statewide work through the university provided meaningful opportunities to develop a deep interest in community education and public speaking. Traveling across Michigan to deliver presentations and lead workshops allowed for connection with a wide range of audiences. Whether presenting to small groups or larger gatherings, the focus remained on creating engaging, informative spaces. Speaking to groups of 50 or more has become a particularly energizing aspect of this work. Each presentation offers a chance to bring clinical expertise into the room and equip students, teachers, parents, and community members with practical skills they can apply in daily life.

Presentation topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Mindfulness

  • Healthy Communication

  • Parent-Child Relationships

  • Emotion Regulation

  • Building Resilience

  • Managing Stress and Anxiety

  • Developing Healthy Relationships

  • Coping with Change and Transitions
